Changing Technology - The Only Way To Survive
I was approached by a local realtor today and he was frustrated about the market and how he is struggling to stay in real estate. When asked about my business, I explained that I'd been so busy, I hadn't had time to worry about what the market was doing and that I'd found some of the answers to working in this real estate market.
This particular realtor doesn't have a website, never heard of Active Rain or blogging and told me he couldn't imagine spending time on the computer to obtain new clients.
We have had our new website a year now. The originator of the website, David Teefy, will be in Branson, Missouri at Big Cedar Lodge next week as a part of the Broker Super Charge and to give the Mid States RE/MAX Brokers an update on this wonderful website and the Leadstreet Program for the Mid States Region.
Being a great fan of this new website, I am joining several other Brokers, including Harry Bisel, Mark Jennings, David Momper and David Vick to discuss the "good and Bad" parts of the website.
So far this year, I've averaged selling two clients a month from the website. With the help of all the information I've read here on Active Rain, our new website, and all the new technology, this should be a great year! Check out our new website at: www.kayvankampen.com.
